Virginia
Virginia may be for lovers, but it is up to you to define what
kind of lovers. History lovers will love the historical value of
war reenactments that occur here. More major battles during the
Civil War took place in Virginia, the Capital of the Confederacy,
than in any other state. Reenactment troops invite you to witness
the following battles, ask questions and/or participate in camp
life of the Civil War soldiers and their families.
This year also marks the 225th anniversary of the Siege of Yorktown
and the battle that ended the Revolutionary War at the very site
where it all happened in Virginia.
Nature lovers will appreciate the diversity of Virginia. Beautiful
Virginia has the Blue Ridge and Appalachian mountain ranges to
the west, the Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay to the east, and
the green rolling hills of the Piedmont in between. Wherever you
go, be sure to bring your camera for some of the most spectacular
seasonal backdrops you will ever see.
Bargain lovers will appreciate the deals available throughout
Virginia. Shopping is one of the main reasons people visit Virginia,
from factory outlets for bargain hunters to craft shops featuring
famous artists and local crafters. Virginia’s country roads
are dotted with antique shops and auctions where treasures from
many eras can still be found at flea market prices.
If you love to travel with your family, we can offer you a fun
filled adventure not soon forgotten. Virginia is a great place
for children and their families to explore. Besides the fun of
amusement parks, museums, and one-of-a-kind places to visit, Virginia
